The Dallas Mavericks beat the Miami Heat, 105-95, winning the series, 4 -2, and becoming the new NBA Champions. Only thing is, someone forgot to tell Macy’s.
The department store had an ad, on a Miami newspaper, congratulating Miami’s second banner. Ouch! Talk about adding insult to injury.
To make matters worse, the ad ran under the headline “DALLAS WINS BEST OF SEVEN SERIES, 4-2″ and an article talking about how bad Miami’s Point Guards played.
Was this all Mark Cuban’s way to rub it in Heat’s fans’ – all six of them – faces? I knew he was too quiet during the presser.
Well, it’s not like Heat’s fans really care about the team. I bet there are people buying tickets for Game 7.
Congrats, Dallas Mavericks, the 2011 NBA Champions.
